Facebook reveals dating sites looking to launch an advertising campaign on the social network will start accepting applications for new ads of these sites on February 15 . Why is this a problem? Obviously a key for Valentine dating sites date is February 14 .

Business Insider reported on Feb. 15 after a tip Kyle McGinnis, CEO HiDine , a dating site for people who love the restaurants, they stated that their ads have been published for months before being released suddenly and added:

I am deeply disappointed by the decision of Facebook . Do not know how or why I changed my status as an approved advertiser . So sorry to hear that can accept new members only after Valentine's Day.

HiDine also said in a press release on the subject:

Favoring large dating sites that you might pay more for advertising space, Facebook is approaching smaller rivals . For months before the holidays, McGinnis had multiple ads on the network. Suddenly, Facebook had suspended the payment to accept pre-approved and rejected ads.

Facebook has confirmed the policy change Business Insider, saying that he had received complaints from users see too many ads for dating sites, and add :

We recently updated our policy to require human review ads dating services online. We have a lot of negative comments from people about many of these ads, and in some cases , violated various policies. To maintain the quality of Facebook ads to you, we are not currently accepting new advertisers online dating.
